White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan has said that Australia will purchase three Virginia class nuclear-powered submarines
He said it will also have an option to buy two more
US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will announce details of the AUKUS project

WASHINGTON D.C.: White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan has said that Australia will purchase three Virginia class nuclear-powered submarines, with an option to buy two more.

US President Joe Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will announce details of the AUKUS project while visiting the US naval base in San Diego, California, the main home port of the US Pacific Fleet.
