Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], April 12 (ANI): Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against the Gujarat Titans on Saturday, the Lucknow Super Giants' left-hand batter David Miller said that they were under pressure at the start of the 18th edition of the cash-rich league but now they have found out the ways of winning the game.
The Lucknow-based franchise is currently placed sixth in the IPL 2025 points table after winning three (six points) out of five matches, whereas Shubman Gill is sitting at the top after winning four of their five matches in the league. The match between both sides will be played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
'The games that we have won, we've kind of found ways to win, been under pressure with our bowling and batting at certain stages and getting through that and still winning, so for me that's the encouraging part for the team,' David Miller said in the pre-match press conference as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
Talking about the Rishabh Pant-led side's previous fixture against the defending champions, the Kolkata Knight Riders, they outsmarted the Knight Riders by four runs in the last-over thriller at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday.
Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 238 runs, including magnificent half-centuries from Nicholas Pooran (87*) and Mitchell Marsh (81).
The Kolkata Knight Riders were able to score 234 runs with the help of knocks from Ajinkya Rahane (61), Venkatesh Iyer (45), Rinku Singh (38*), and Sunil Narine (30).
