Kent Johnson scored a goal and earned an assist as the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets defeated the St. Louis Blues 5-3 Saturday night for their fifth straight victory.
Isac Lundestrom, Denton Mateychuk, Damon Severson and Mason Marchment also scored for the Blue Jackets, who have won nine of their last 10 games.
Jet Greaves made 28 saves to improve to 4-0-0 in his career against the Blues.
Columbus forward Sean Monahan exited the game after two periods and Lundestrom left the game after a third-period collision.
Jonatan Berggren and Jimmy Snuggerud had a goal and an assist for the Blues, who lost for the sixth time in seven games (1-5-1). Tyler Tucker also scored for St, Louis, and Brayden Schenn earned two assists.
Jordan Binnington made 18 saves in defeat.
Snuggerud put the Blues up 1-0 with a rush goal at 7:11 of the first period. He broke down the middle to score off Schenn's pass from the left wing.
The Blue Jackets tied the game 37 seconds later. Boone Jenner outmuscled Pavel Buchnevich for the puck, then slid it across the ice to Lundstrom for his tap-in at the right post.
Columbus took a 2-1 lead with 7:06 left in the first period. Mateychuk fired a wrist shot that deflected in off Blues defenseman Colton Parayko.
St. Louis tied the game 2-2 with a power-play goal 3:15 into the second period. Philip Broberg shot from the right point, Schenn deflected it and then Pius Suter tipped the rebound to Berggren.
The Blue Jackets answered with their own power-play tally to move ahead 3-2 when Ivan Provorov shot from the blue line and Johnson deflected it in.
Tucker tied the game 3-3 with 6:25 left in the period with a turnaround shot from the left point off Berggren's drop pass.
But Severson put Columbus up for good less than 3 minutes later with a slap shot through traffic from the blue line.
Marchment's empty-net goal with 30 seconds left clinched the victory.
