The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired forward Corey Perry from the Los Angeles Kings on Friday for a second-round pick, multiple media outlets reported.
Perry, 40, recorded 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 50 games this season with the Kings. The 2011 recipient of the Hart Trophy, awarded to the NHL's Most Valuable Player, is playing on a one-year, $2 million contract with performance bonuses.
Perry will be part of the Lightning for the second time in his career. He spent two seasons with Tampa Bay from 2021-23.
A 2007 Stanley Cup champion with Anaheim, Perry has totaled 963 points (459 goals, 504 assists) in 1,442 career games with the Ducks, Dallas Stars, Montreal Canadiens, Lightning, Chicago Blackhawks, Edmonton Oilers and Kings.
Perry was selected by Anaheim with the 28th overall pick of the 2003 NHL Draft.
