Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr's top two assistants will not return next season, ESPN reported.
The contracts for Terry Stotts and Jerry Stackhouse expired after the 2025-26 campaign.
Stotts, 68, just completed his second season on the Warriors' bench. His NBA coaching career began in 1992 and includes stints as the head coach of the Atlanta Hawks (2002-04), Milwaukee Bucks (2005-07) and Portland Trail Blazers (2012-21).
'I enjoyed my time with Steve, the staff and players,' Stotts said, per ESPN. 'My two years there were fulfilling. Nothing but well-wishes.'
Stackhouse, 51, also joined the Golden State staff ahead of the 2024-25 season after serving as the head coach at Vanderbilt from 2019-24. The two-time All-Star played 18 seasons in the NBA with eight teams.
Kerr, 60, agreed to a new multi-year contract earlier this week after leading the Warriors to four championships in his first 12 seasons. He is the winningest coach (604-353) in franchise history.
Former Golden State assistant coach Chris DeMarco left Kerr's staff in January to become the head coach of the WNBA's New York Liberty.
An early candidate to replace Stotts and Stackhouse is former New Orleans Pelicans head coach Willie Green, per ESPN.
