Boston Bruins forward Alex Steeves signed a two-year, $3.25 million contract extension on Wednesday that runs through the 2027-28 season.
Steeves has recorded 14 points (eight goals, six assists) and 117 hits in 33 games this season.
He signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with Boston this past offseason and was set to become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the campaign.
Steeves, 26, has totaled 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) in 47 career games with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Bruins.
